About Fresh Brewed Paintings

I have been creating art since I was a small child. In college I took as many art classes as I could in pursuit of an interior design degree. Teachers quickly realized they didn't really have to "teach" me how to paint and I was usually doing projects of my own choosing. When I became a mother, my time that I could dedicate to painting was very limited and my passion took a back seat. I picked up a paintbrush again when my son was a toddler and decided to see if I could make some extra income by selling my work. I made a few sales, but this was when craigslist was the only way that one could sell anything.

Today my art has taken on new life using only coffee as my medium. I enjoy drinking coffee and now when I accidentally dip my paint brush in my "drinking" coffee I don't have to worry about ruining it with acrylic paint. Coffee painting is very similar to water color, only I use canvas instead of paper. The result is a unique painting that also smells great. I do most of my work on commission, so someone sends me a photo of what they'd like turned into a coffee painting. I also have non-commissioned original artwork for sale. The finished product is complete with an archival protective varnish that will help protect the piece from sun damage, dust and moisture.
